Questo piccolo software gratuito, MKVToolNix, permette di gestire in maniera completa i file MKV
Oltre ai soliti formati noti come AVI ed MPG esiste un nuovo formato che ben si adatta alla compressione di file video in alta definizione. I file MKV sono utilizzati per convertire film e filmati video da Blu-Ray e DVD in modo da comprimere al massimo la dimensione del video senza perdere di qualità.
MKVToolnix è una raccolta di strumenti per la Matroska formato contenitore multimediale di Moritz Bunkus compreso mkvmerge. Le librerie e strumenti Matroska free e open source sono disponibili per varie piattaforme, tra cui Linux e le distribuzioni BSD, MacOS e Microsoft Windows.
Per convertire in MKV potete usare MKVToolnix che è un insieme di strumenti che includono mkvmerge, mkvinfo, mkvextract, mkvpropedit ed MMG con la quale potrete creare, modificare ed ispezionare i file Matroska (MKV).
Con MKV ToolNix è possibile creare, dividere, modificare, unire, dividere, estrarre o ispezionare file Matroska in modo facile e veloce. I formati video supportati sono AVI, MPEG, MP4, MPEG, Ogg/OGM, RealVideo, MPEG1/2, h264/AVC, Dirac, VC1, VP9, i formati audio sono AAC, FLAC, MP2, MP3, (E)AC3, DTS/DTS-HD, Vorbis, RealAudio ed anche i sottotitoli nei formati SRT, PGS/SUP, VobSub, ASS e SSA.
